M&L Associates is a housing and community development consulting firm searching for an energetic and highly organized professional with an engaging personality to join our team. This is an entry level position with career growth potential. The ideal candidate for this position will possess a minimum of an associate degree in business, finance/accounting, project management and/or real estate. Based in Mechanicsburg, PA, this position offers a hybrid, in-office/remote work schedule when workload allows.

Minimum Requirements

M&L Associates seeks to engage the right person with demonstrated abilities in most of the following areas:

• Fast learner willing to carry out tasks as assigned by the Development Manager regarding community revitalization through development coordination and project due diligence including site selection, analyzing market demand, financial modeling and packaging applications for affordable housing financing
• Strong, effective communication and grammatical skills, both verbal and written
• Highly developed research skills
• Detail-orientated and able to meet deadlines
• Ability to manage multiple objectives while staying on task
• Strong organizational skills; ability to carry out an assignment with deliverables
• Proficient computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office; advanced skill level working in EXCEL
• Ability to work independently and on team projects
• Ability to conduct oneself professionally and in a business-like manner
• Ability and willingness to travel occasionally

Helpful Skills

• Hands on Experience in Housing & Community Development, Economic Development
• Understanding of how Local, State and Federal Government functions
• Experience managing a team of individuals and ensuring they are meeting deadlines
